Browser end:
- A web page provides input possibilities to the server by using a ordinary cgi form.
Server end:
- The information sent with the cgi post command is forwarded by the Web
Star server
software to an applescript application.
- The applescript application parses the information and creates a event
including the parsed information that it sends to Supercard.
- Supercard is running the netRouter project which recognizes the event
sent from the applescript application. The information sent might be
manipulated by agents before the netRouter, by using an applecript XFCN,
sends it to the pager software PageNow! . Agents can also generate
information (for example by retrieving it from the web by using Marionet)
that is sent to pageNow!.
- PageNow! sends the information to the pagers.
